New Croatian Ambassador to Greece Alexander Sunko presented credentials to the Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos on September 29, thereby officially started his new post. In a conversation with Ambassador Sunko, Greek President Pavlopoulos spoke about recent meeting with Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic in Malta and invitation to visit Croatia, stressing that he will be happy to accept the invitation and hopes to visit Croatia in a near future. President Pavlopoulos also commented on the political relations between Greece and the neighboring countries pointing out that Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Southeast Europe countries must be preserved. President Pavlopoulos also stressed that the countries of Southeast Europe should be more closely involved in EU institutions in order to promote their own interests. He concluded that Greece recognizes in Croatia a valuable partner for future cooperation.
