Ambassador Sunko presented the priorities of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

On January 10, 2020 at the Serafio Center for Sports, Culture and Innovation in Athens Ambassador Sunko has presented the priorities of Croatia’s EU presidency. The presentation of Croatian priorities was organized in cooperation with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Athens, European Commission Representation in Greece and with the Europe Direct information center (EDIC). Anastasios Kriekoukis, advisor to the major of Athens, held an opening speech. Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Athens Georgios Markopouliotis and Head of the European Commission Representation in Greece Kostas Tsoutsoplides gave the short introductory speeches. Finnish Ambassador to Greece, Mr Juha Pyykkö gave the symbolic Presidency Bell to Ambassador Sunko. After the opening remarks, a conversation with the audience took place. The questions were mostly focused on the matters of Brexit, migration management and the future of Europe. On this occasion an exhibition of photographs by Marko Vrdoljak named „Beauty of Croatia“ was held. The exhibition contains 40 photographs, taken all around Croatia.
