Together, they met with the Prefect Serikbay Trumov and his advisers and with the Mayor of Aktau. They discussed the possibilities for economic co-operation, especially at the county and city levels. An agreement was reached on the twinning of the cities of Aktau and Split. Both sides expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the fields of urban, maritime and port infrastructure development, as well as in the oil, gas and shipbuilding sectors. On the second day, the Croatian delegation visited the seaport of Aktau and met with members of the management of the free industrial zone, the director of the special clothing factory and representatives of other Kazakh companies. Croatian businessmen have offered supply of modern services and technologies that compete with world-famous brands in terms of quality and affordable prices. Late that night, the delegation continued to Nur-Sultan, where a number of other meetings were held, including with KazMunayGas Director Ms. Ainur Shanenova and United Chemical Company Director Ibragim Tagashev, with whom they discussed a possible joint project to build a processing plant that would turn chicken manure into fertilizer for bio food production.
