The Indonesian football club Persib Bandung defeated Madura United 3:1 in the second game of the final and thereby won the title of Indonesian champion. Croatian coach Bojan Hodak led Persib, a club from the city of Bandung with approximately two and a half million inhabitants, to the championship title. Hodak took over the club that was 16
th out of 18 clubs in the league and with the help of assistants Goran Paulić and Miro Petrić led the club to the championship title.
