Croatian Ambassador in Jakarta Mr. Dražen Margeta visited City of Medan, the tourist center of Lake Toba and the Port City of Sibulga, on August 24, 2015 after an invitation by the Provincial Government of North Sumatra. During his visit Ambassador Margeta held meetings with officials of the said Province, regarding the possibilites of development economic cooperation. On that occasion, in area of Barus, as a sign of friendship and base of long-lasting cooperation, Ambassador Margeta planted a Camphor tree. Barus is known as the point of arrival of the first preachers and disseminator of Islam in Indonesia.
