Croatian Ambassador, Vesela Mrden Korac, gave a lecture on Croatian culture and tourism to the members of The Cultural Centre 50+ at the University of Ottawa on January 11, 2007...
The association of Ottawa University former students, established since 1984, invited the Ambassador Mrden Korac to give a lecture at their Ottawa University club. In the introduction, the Ambassador acquainted the Canadian audience with Croatian history and culture, as well as a video presentation ‘Mediterranean, the way it was', and spoke of Croatia's natural beauty and it's potential in tourism.
Along side the Ambassador's lecture, club members participated by sharing their impressions about Croatia. Mrs. Frances Walsh, the club's coordinator, spoke of her experiences while of living in Croatia for one year during 1993/1994. She emphasized on the kind and obliging people of Zagreb, especially the friendly and humane relationships in their everyday living.
Following the pleasant social, the Ambassador invited the club members to visit the Croatian contemporary art exhibit that is temporarily displayed at the Embassy of Croatia in Ottawa.
