State Secretary for European Integration at MFAEI Marija Pejcinovic Buric took part at the ministerial conference of the International Organization of la Francophonie on conflict prevention and human security, held in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba, Canada, 12-14 May 2006.
The goal of the conference is to define and harmonise the position of IOF members on conflict prevention and human security, so as to set up a permanent peace in the la Francophonie area. Croatia's participation is important because of its candidacy for membership in the Organisation Board of the UN Peace-Building Commission. Croatia has been enjoying the IOF monitor status since 2004.
