Temporary exhibition at the Embassy of Croatia in Ottawa
Following Ottawa's successful exhibit in September 2006 with the collaboration of the City of Ottawa and Zagreb, a segment of the art work from the Croatian Fine Arts Society (HDLU) is temporarily displayed at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia.
On January 4, 2007, the Embassy of Croatia was host to spouses of Ambassadors accredited to Ottawa and the curator from the National Art Gallery of Canada, Mrs Lene Creedy, who coordinated the visit on the initiative of Mr. Marko Korac, spouse of the Croatian Ambassador.
The Croatian contemporary art was presented by Ambassador Vesela Mrden Korac and councellor for culture, Mr. Antun Mahnic. The guests expressed interest in the creativity of Croatian contemporary art and the manner of organization of the artists in Croatia.
