Croatia was successfully presented at the International Travel & Vacation Show in Ottawa on March 17th & 18th, 2007. The Croatian National Tourist Office from New York participated in the event and organization with the collaboration of the Embassy of Croatia in Ottawa. Mr. Kresimir Mamic, a young Croat from Ottawa, was invited by the Croatian National Tourist Office to assist at the Croatian exhibit. Croatia was successfully presented at the International Travel & Vacation Show in Ottawa on March 17th & 18th, 2007. The Croatian National Tourist Office from New York participated in the event and organization with the collaboration of the Embassy of Croatia in Ottawa. Mr. Kresimir Mamic, a young Croat from Ottawa, was invited by the Croatian National Tourist Office to assist at the Croatian exhibit.
The traditional annual show took place in the heritage ‘Aberdeen' pavilion with 170 exhibitors and more than 14,000 visitors. Many countries participated in this event by means of their National Tourist Offices. Among them were Croatia, Ireland, Great Britain, Spain, Czech Republic, Tunisia, Morocco, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mexico and other tourist boards as well as many tour operators. During the show, contact was made with new agencies interested in including Croatia in their holiday packages, and representatives of the press interested in covering the Croatian tourism. Visitors at the exhibit inquired about vacationing in Croatia this coming season and a considerable amount of them already have previous experience and a positive impression from visiting Croatia.
Croatia has participated in Travel Shows in most of the larger Canadian centers and this was the first time that Croatian tourism was presented at the Ottawa show.
