The tourist business workshop “Sell Croatia” was held at the Midtown Congress Center in Tokyo on 21 September 2016. The event was organized by the Croatian Tourist Board and Slovenian Tourist Organization.
The Workshop was attended by around 80 Japanese participants and local media together with Croatian tourist companies Adriatic DMC, Adriatic Travel&Trade, Gulliver Travel, Katarina Line and Uniline. The Dubrovacko Neretvanska County and Licko Senjska County tourist boards as well as the Zagreb City Tourist Board have also participated in the event. Turkish Airlines who was also a partner of the event has donated air tickets for a winning game for the participants.
The introductory speeches by ambassadors of the Republic of Croatia and Republic of Slovenia Dražen Hrastic and Simona Leskovar were followed by presentations of tourist potential of two countries. The Croatia country presentation in Japanese was done by Ms. Jelena Yamasaki, a Croatian business living and working in Japan for a number of years. The event was concluded by B2B meetings with the existing and potential Japanese business partners.
