As part of a worldwide campaign, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Tokyo gathered at the Embassy of Colombia to participate in the “Lend Your Leg” campaign aimed at increasing awareness about the danger of landmines in as much as 60 countries across the world.
The event was organized on 4 April 2018, on the occasion of the United Nations International Mine Awareness Day, and Croatian Embassy in Japan was represented by Ambassador Dražen Hrastic.
Japan, a mine free country, is one of the largest donors for demining efforts in the World. This campaign makes a strong impact on efforts aimed at fighting the danger of landmines and it is well recognized worldwide, both by countries that face the danger of landmines, as well as donor countries.
