Exhibition of the Museum of Broken Relationships in Tokyo
Tokyo Exhibition of the Museum of Broken Relationships will be open from 31 March to 14 April 2018 at 3331 Arts Chiyoda Exhibition Space. This is the first Japanese exhibition of the acclaimed Museum from Zagreb, which in recent years has become one of the main attraction for many Japanese tourists visiting the Croatian capital.
In addition to exhibits from the Museum’s depository, special items were collected for the Tokyo exhibition through a call for donations in order to bring the globally recognized concept of the Museum closer to the Japanese audience.
The exhibition is organised with exclusive support from Kaneko + Associates, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Japan. The opening ceremony was attended by Nobi Kaneko, President of the Kaneko + Associates, Museum’s founders Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišic and representatives of the Croatian Embassy.
In his speech, Ambassador Dražen Hrastic emphasized the outstanding success and universal acclaim that innovative project of the Museum of Broken Relationship has achieved in recent years. Organizing this exhibition in Tokyo, the world capital of novelty, creativity and ingenuity, will surely contribute in better understanding of Croatia, not only as a country of beautiful natural and preserved historical heritage, but also as a country with rich culture and creative, innovative and open-minded people. This is especially important since it is taking place in the year in which we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Croatia and Japan and the 5th Anniversary of Croatian Accession to the European union.
