Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, who led the delegation to UN Conference on financing development in Doha, was received by Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani.
During their 40-minute-long talks, President Mesic and his host agreed that Croatia and Qatar had good political relations and that the two countries would like to improve their economic cooperation.
In this context they noted with satisfaction activities by the Croatian "Konstruktor Inženjering" company in the Qatari capital. The Croatian company is thus constructing a major infrastructure road project in Doha and has completed to date some 75 percent of the project.
During their talks the two statesmen agreed that Emir Sheikh Hamad al-Thani would visit Croatia in Spring 2009 for further political and economic development between two Countries.
