The 3rd Scientific Conference of the Mediterranean „Richness and Mediterrnenean Diversity, Biology and Culture“ was held in Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt from June 21 to 24, 2010.
H.E. Mr. Dražen Margeta, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Cairo together with Academician Mr. Pavao Rudan, Director of the Institute of Anthropological Research and Mr. Ivan Katavic, University professor and Head of the Department for aquaculture of the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries in Split participated at the Conference.
Ambassador Mr. Margeta introduced to Mr. Muhamed Hamdi El Naggar, Director of the El Naggar Company Croatian participants of the Conference Mr. Rudan and Mr. Katavic. As the commercial fishery and fish wholesale are among the business activities of the El Naggar company, Head of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hamdy Naggar expressed an interest for acquainting the both Croatian new know-how and technology together with the experiences in this field. Professor Katavic presented possibilities of cooperation with Croatia in the field of aquaculture, especially in design and construction of fishery farms in Egypt.
