Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, accompained by H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, met on Thursday, December 2, 2010 with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to discuss political relations between the two countries and ways of boosting economic cooperation.

"We have stated that political relations are excellent, to which President Mubarak's visit to Croatia last year has also contributed. Today we have discussed ways of improving economic cooperation," Kosor told reporters after the meeting.
PM Kosor informed President Mubarak that some 20 Croatian companies agreed on cooperation with Egyptian partners at a Croatian-Egyptian business forum held in Cairo on the day before.
The Croatian PM informed President Mubarak about the possibilities the Croatian seaports could offer to Egyptian business people. PM Kosor presented Croatian investment projects in the fields of power industry, water management, tourism and transport infrastructure.
PM Kosor said that Croatia appreciate very much Egypt's role in the promotion of peace and stability in that part of the world.
Croatia will complete its EU entry talks in 2011 and as the 28th EU member state, it will promote closer ties between the EU and Egypt, said PM Kosor.
