Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, Omani Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, met Gordan Jandrokovic, Croatian minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration on February 19, 2010 in Zagreb.
At the meeting, two officials discussed political and economic cooperation and joint investments between the two countries. Mr. Macki explained the wise policy of the government of the Sultanate, the political relations between the Sultanate and the neighbouring countries and the countries which received the respect and appreciation of the international community.
Macki, emphasised that the Sultanate's five-year plans and development programmes are aimed at diversification of the sources of income of the national economy and improvement of infrastructure. The Croatian foreign minister praised the relations between the two countries and reaffirmed his country's keenness to further strengthen the political and economic ties with the Sultanate in particular and the GCC states in general.
