Croatian Prime Minister, Mrs. Jadranka Kosor, met Egyptian President Mr. Hosni Mubarak and discussed closer economic cooperation between the two countries.
CROATIAN PM AND EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT MET AND DISCUSS CLOSER ECONOMIC COOPERATION
ZAGREB, Oct 17 - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met Egyptian President, Muhammad Hosni Mubarak, on Saturday, October 17, 2009 and agreed to intensify cooperation between the two countries, notably in the tourism and energy sectors. Both officials expressed interest in strengthening economic relations, particularly in the tourist trade, the energy sector, shipbuilding and food industry. Kosor said she was pleased that the Union for the Mediterranean was open to all countries on the Mediterranean shores.She went on to say that after joining the European Union, Croatia would continue advocating closer cooperation between Mediterranean countries.Kosor announced the organisation of a Mediterranean Union ministerial conference on environmental protection in Dubrovnik next month. President Mubarak invited Primeminister Kosor to visit Egypt, which she accepted.
