Addressing a business forum in Cairo on December 1, 2010, Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor called on Egyptian business people to invest in Croatia in sectors of power industry, water management, tourism and transport. PM Kosor said that she saw the power and tourism sectors as offering the greatest possibilities for cooperation between the two countries.
In the 2009, trade between Croatia and Egypt amounted to US$ 110 million.
Kosor expressed confidence that the forum would enable the implementation of concrete projects and contribute to the promotion of bilateral relations.
Members of the Croatian and Egyptian business community were adressed also by the envoy of the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Minister of Trade and Industry, H.E. Mr. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Chairman of the Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Mr. Ahmed El-Wakil and Predisent of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Mr. Nadan Vidoševic.
