Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Dražen Margeta visited the Croatian Contingent serving in the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) mission in camp Faouar in the Golan Heights on the occasion of the Ambassador's Day.
UNDOF is United Nations mission entrusted with monitoring of the agreed disengagement of the Israeli and Syrian forces, and monitoring of separation line. Croatian soldiers are serving in the mission as part of an Austrian battalion.
Commander of Contingent within UNDOF, Gen. Jilke, organized for Ambassadors a tour to all the checkpoints within the area of responsibility of Contingents, providing details on duties and tasks given to troops. Croatian officers and soldiers have performed all tasks and duties professionally and exceptionally well, being stressed out by General Jilke.
