The Seventh Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies

In the capital of Mongolia to the huge event was attended by about 1300 participants from 104 countries. Originally to the Conference were invited foreign ministers of 131 countries that have reached the required level of democratization including Croatia, and several presidents of state and government and other prominent politicians and representatives of twenty international organizations, civil society and media.

In the capital of Mongolia to the huge event was attended by about 1300 participants from 104 countries. Originally to the Conference were invited foreign ministers of 131 countries that have reached the required level of democratization including Croatia, and several presidents of state and government and other prominent politicians and representatives of twenty international organizations, civil society and media.

Among the participants we emphasize the two Nobel Peace Prize holders: Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (1991) and Tawakkol Karman (2011). The Ministerial Declaration Community's Attainment and Global Challenges was adopted. On several occasions Ambassador Simonić stressed the Government's commitment to the development of democracy and community support for democracy and congratulated the General Secretary of the Community Ambassador Maria Leissner for which was achieved. President of Mongolia Mr. Elbegdorj Tsakhia and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Chairman of the Community for Democracy in the past period Luvsanvandanu Boldu were congratulated on the achievements of democratization of the country. Chairmanship of the Forum for Democracy Community on behalf of El Salvador's was taken by First Vice President Mr. Alfivio Piva Mesen.

On this occasion, the EU - Mongolia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement was signed and EU Ambassador to Mongolia (non-resident) M.Ederer and Economy Minister N.Batbayar Mongolia signed an agreement on financial assistance for the support and development of Mongolian standards.
