EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION OF CROATIAN PRINCIPALS TO SHANGHAI

After several months of preparation, between Match 17th and March 25th 2012, the delegation of Croatian experts involved in education travelled on an educational excursion to Shanghai. The excursion was organised by Cromovens and the Private gimnasium in Šibenik, with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Embassy of Croatia in Beijing.

After several months of preparation, between Match 17th and March 25th 2012, the delegation of Croatian experts involved in education travelled on an educational excursion to Shanghai. The excursion was organised by Cromovens and the Private gimnasium in Šibenik, with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Embassy of Croatia in Beijing.

The purpose of such initiatives is to share experience regarding different successful educational models and systems and establish international cooperation among schools. Shanghai was chosen as a destination due to China's excellent achievements on PISA tests. There we visited: Business&Tourism School, Shanghai Xiangming Middle School, Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Normal University.

Participants’ impressions of the trip are filled with enthusiasm and raised awareness of the importance of modern education and investment in people, programs and equipment.
