Visas

VISAS U.S. citizens do not need visas to enter and stay in Croatia up to 90 days within 180 day period. A valid passport is required for travel to Croatia expiring no less than three months after the date of the scheduled departure from the Republic of Croatia, and issued within the last 10 years. For visa regulations for specific country please go to the following link :Visa requirements overview As of January 1, 2013, aliens who are holders of: · residence permits issued by one of the Schengen area members · uniform visas (C) or long-stay visas (D) issued by one of the Schengen area members temporarily do not require a visa for entering and stay or transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Above mentioned Schengen documents must be valid at the moment of leaving the Republic of Croatia as well as allow entering the Schengen area. For aliens who DO REQUIRE a visa, please note that all visa applicants should present their application in person at the Consular Department of the Embassy or at the one of three Consulates General in USA based on their residence. Following documents should be submitted: - completed and signed Application form (if applicant is under the age of 18, form must be signed by both parents or guardians) - a valid passport - a passport size photo of the applicant - copy of itinerary for group visits - return (plane, ship...) ticket - proof of booked accomodation (reservation of hotel...) - proof of subsistence financial funds (bank statement, letter from the bank...) - travel health insurance with clear statement that insured person is covered during the whole length of the trip in the Republic of Croatia - copy of a valid USA ID (for non U.S. citizens) - US driver's license, permanent residence card... - applicants on private visits should submit a Letter of Guarantee from a person living in the Republic of Croatia (authorized by Notary Public in Croatia – javni bilježnik) - applicants on business visits should submit a Letter of Guarantee filled out and signed by a legal person from Croatia (authorized by Notary Public in Croatia – javni bilježnik). - Some applicants may be required to submit additional documents (eg. proof of employment in the US or proof of school/college/university enrollment ...) The consular fees for transit or travel visa are $79,00.
