The fourteenth annual CroatiaFest was held in the Seattle Center Armory on October 1. CroatiaFest is a premier annual gathering and celebration of heritage and culture of the Croatian community in the Pacific Northwest area. This year"s festival showcased live performances of dance and music, wine tastings, a new Croatian “Wine Cellars,” authentic Croatian cuisine, a new olive oil booth and live cooking demonstrations via Skype with Croatian chefs from Dubrovnik’s Konoba Dundo Maroje. Other CroatiaFest highlights included “Croatian Lighthouses” – the eye-catching Plovput traveling photography exhibition – a maritime art gallery, an antique costume display, travel lectures, Croatia travel booths, artisan Croatian textiles, ceramics and souvenirs, and a “Croatian Consular Day.”
