On 18 May 2018, the Ambassador has visited Elbasan, where she met with Mayor of Elbasan Mr. Qazim Sejdini and President of the Elbasan Region Mr. Buxurosh Staf. They informed her about the areas for development and tourism. The Mayor of Elbasan talked about the city"s development projects and highlighted the particularities and significance of the city as a traffic hub in the region with developed metalworking and auto parts industry. The region is also known for its rich heritage, university and healing thermal baths. They noted numerous possibilities and similarities to connect with Varaždin County of the Republic of Croatia.
