Croatian Minister of Defence visit to Albania

Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia Mr Ante Kotromanovic visited Albania on 23 June. In the meeting with the host, the Albanian Minister of Defence Ms Mimi Kodheli, Minister Kodheli underlined that the cooperation between Croatia and Albania in the framework of regional initiatives, the US-Adriatic Charter and NATO was excellent and she thanked the Croatian people for “its unconditional support of Albania on its way to the EU”. Minister Kodheli also praised the continued engagement of Croatia for the sake of including Kosovo in all regional initiatives. Minister Kotromanovic emphasized that Croatia was going to continue supporting Albania, particularly in its EU integration process, likewise Kosovo and other countries in the region. The two ministers talked about the intensification of military cooperation, especially in the framework of the project “Smart Defence” and peacekeeping missions in the world. Minister Kotromanovic was received by the Prime Minister Mr Edi Rama. Prime Minister Rama praised the Croatian Euro-integration process as a role model for Albania, stressing the need for Albania to use to the full the good experiences of Croatia.
