Athletes from the taekwondo clubs "Imotski" and "Poskok" visited the embassy in Tirana
Five athletes from the taekwondo clubs "Imotski" from Imotski and "Poskok" from Posušje visited the Croatian Embassy in Tirana on Thursday, September 26, 2024, where they were welcomed by Ambassador Zlatko Kramarić and his associates.
The reason for their visit to Tirana, and subsequently to the embassy, was their participation in a tournament held in Tirana, which hosted athletes from 40 countries. Some of them achieved the qualifying standards for the European Championship, which will also take place in Tirana this November. David Milićević, Marta Grubišić, and Anamarija Miličević represented "Poskok," while Petra Jerković and Natali Tadić represented "Imotski."
Milićević and Jerković won gold medals at this competition, while Tadić earned a bronze medal. The athletes were accompanied by coach Petar Boban and Branko Miličević.
An interesting fact is that 200 juniors and seniors train taekwondo in Imotski, while in Posušje, there are 150 athletes.
