Ambassador Kramarić’s Book Presented in Tirana

On 20 June 2025, the Albanian edition of the book "Even After Tito - Tito: History. Memory. Trauma." by Ambassador Zlatko Kramarić was presented in Tirana.
 
In addition to the author, the presentation featured remarks by publisher Fahri Balliu and promoter Genci Muca. The event was attended by prominent Albanian intellectuals, diplomats, and journalists.
 
The discussion focused on the political and historical responsibility of former Yugoslav regimes and their echoes in the current politics of the Western Balkans.
 
The book offers an original perspective on the legacies of authoritarianism, confronting the past, and the need for deeper democratic transformation in the region. The author does not provide ready-made answers but, through a series of essays and critical reflections, raises thought-provoking questions—making the book especially valuable for regional dialogue.
 
In his speech, Ambassador Kramarić emphasized the importance of open and courageous confrontation with one’s own history and called for greater political and cultural maturity in analysing the transition of countries in this part of Europe.
