Yesterday evening a new edition of the brochure on Croatian culture in the United Kingdom was presented at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in London. Author Flora Turner-Vucetic presented the expanded edition of "Mapping Croatia in United Kingdom Collections". The first edition was published ten years ago, on the occasion of Croatia's entry into the EU.
The author gave a detailed list of works by Croatian artists that are exhibited in British museums and galleries. She also listed works that can be seen in public spaces in cities across the UK.
„To find a work of art by one's compatriot in a mayor world museum is always an exciting moment. It is a link with your homeland and it is also another link with the country you visit or in which you have settled.“ - says Flora Turner Vucetic in the introduction of her work.
The presentation of the brochure was attended by many members of the British-Croatian Society, and the audience was greeted by Ambassador Igor Pokaz, who especially thanked Mrs. Turner-Vucetic for her dedicated work in culture and for the years of collaboration with the Embassy.
