Signature of The Memorandum of Understanding on setting up elements of Croatian Studies at the University of Glasgow

As a result of the common initiative of the University of Glasgow and the Croatian Embassy in the UK, on behalf of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, ambassador Ivan Grdešic signed on the 1st of September 2015 the Memorandum of understanding on setting up and financing elements of Croatian studies within the Comparative Literature Programme of the School of Modern Languages and Culture at the University of Glasgow (MoU). The School of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Glasgow will introduce the elements of Croatian culture in all four years of undergraduate programmes. The Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia will fund the introduction of the elements of the Croatian studies programme into the structure of the existing Undergraduate Cooperative Literature programme. 10 000 Pound Sterling has been allocated for the academic year 2015/2016. Following the MoU signing, a round table was organised to introduce the programme and present the ways by which the elements of the Croatian culture will be introduced into the curriculum of the Comparative Literature programme.
