Minister Pusic delivers lecture at EBRD headquarters
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic met with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Sir Suma Chakrabarti to discuss the possibility of financing projects such as the Adriatic Provence and the Centre of Excellence.
After the meeting, Pusic delivered a lecture titled Chris Cviic Memorial Lecture – Croatia in the EU, in which she spoke about Croatia's road to the EU, negotiations and monitoring, as well as the fact that Croatia had been the first country to complete such a procedure. “The 2004 enlargement represented the end of the Cold War, the one in 2007 was territory marking, while this one is the ‘enlargement with a mission' for the region,” Pusic said. The audience inquired about the procedure for electing judges, the minister's assessment of the situation in Europe, and the possibilities of youth employment in Croatia.
