MINISTER OF TOURISM OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA MR GARI CAPPELLI IN LONDON

Croatian Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli visited London from 19 to 20 April. During his visit Minister met Tracey Crouch, the Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Sport, Tourism and Heritage. Minister Cappelli also met Patricia Yates, the Director of Strategy and Communications at VisitBritain. Mr Cappelli also met Damian Collins, President of the Committee for Culture, Media and Sport in the House of Commons, Nigel Adams, Member of Parliament, John Whittingdale, former Minister of Culture and now Member of Parliament (Conservative), as well as Members of Parliament (Labour) Fabian Hamilton, Khalid Mahmood, Shadow Minister for Europe. Mr Cappelli met the representatives of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, as well as the representatives of Arena Hospitality Group. The minister pointed out in his meetings with British counterparts that the British tourists are increasingly seen guests in Croatia, with a continued yearly growth of around 20%. It was concluded that the interest shown by British tourists for Croatia is steadily increasing, with Croatia lately being one of the most popular vacation destinations.
