Lecture Holy Darkness: Prehistoric Cave Sanctuaries of Dalmatia
Dr Stašo Forenbaher, research fellow at the Institute for Anthropology and lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb was a speaker at the lecture “Holy Darkness: Prehistoric Cave Sanctuaries of Dalmatia” held at the Croatian Embassy on 11th March 2010.
Lecture Holy Darkness: Prehistoric Cave Sanctuaries of Dalmatia
Dr Stašo Forenbaher, research fellow at the Institute for Anthropology and lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb was a speaker at the lecture “Holy Darkness: Prehistoric Cave Sanctuaries of Dalmatia” held at the Croatian Embassy on 11th March 2010. Dr Forenbaher first introduced the sites on the islands of Brac and Hvar and on the Pelješac peninsula and then analysed the sites in Grapceva cave in Hvar and Nakovana cave in Pelješac. The talk was accompanied by numerous illustrations. The lecture was attended by British and Croatian archaeologists, editors of archaeological publications, art historians and diplomats. Prior to London Dr Forenbaher held lectures at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The lecture was organised jointly by the British-Croatian Society and the Croatian Embassy in London.
