The Croatian company Audio Store Transonica participated in the London Book Fair (10-12 March 2026), presenting its digital platform ‘book&zvook’. The platform offers a catalogue of approximately 200 audiobooks in Croatian and English, produced in collaboration with authors, translators, and actors.

They noted that, alongside rights trading and new publishing deals, the London fair is a place where the same question is revisited every year: what does a book look like in an era of digital transformation, changing habits, and shortened attention spans?

The publishing house Sandorf, a long-standing partner of Transonica, also took part in the ‘book&zvook’ presentation in London.

The Croatian stand at the London fair was visited by Davor Ljubanović, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, and Dajana Antonija Bebek, First Secretary.

Speaking at a reception at the Croatian stand, Mr Ljubanović said: “Publishers who translate Croatian authors into foreign languages play a vital role in promoting Croatian culture across the globe. They are essential to cultural diplomacy, which is a key part of any country’s ‘soft power’. This is why we are always so delighted to hear about new English-language releases by Croatian authors.”

Representatives of the Croatian embassy also met with Evenio publishers from Varaždin.
