President of the Republic of Croatia Mrs Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic participated at the international donor conference in London ‘Supporting Syria and the Region 2016’. The Conference raised over $11bn for those affected by the crisis. For the period 2016 to 2020 Croatian Government pledged 1.000.000 Euro. The pledge of the Croatian Government includes assistance directly for Syria and for its neighbouring countries, primarily focusing on programmes for the protection and education of children, as well as protection of women, religious minorities and the prevention of sexual violence. During the Conference Croatian President met with Prime Minister David Cameron and other world leaders.
