Celebrating National Day and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Croatia at the British Museum

National Day and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Croatia has been celebrated on June 17th at the British Museum in London. The celebration took place at the British Museum as part of cooperation with the British Museum on the project of loaning the Croatian Apoxyomenos for the exhibition ‘Defining Beauty: Body in the art of Ancient Greece’. During the exhibition, with the Croatian Apoxyomenos as the central piece, a conference was also organised on the subject of the discovery and restauration of the Apoxyomenos. The Tourist Board of Kvarner (a northern coastal region in Croatia which is the home of the sculpture) delivered a presentation on tourism opportunities in the Primorsko-Goranska County. The event was attended by the Head of the County, Zlatko Komadina.
