An exhibition of paintings entitled „Monuments“ by Suncica Perišin Tomljanovic will be opened at the Croatian Embassy in London on Thursday, 14th December 2006 between 6.30 and 8.30 pm. Suncica Perišin Tomljanovic will exhibit portraits made with tempera, tar, enamel, oil and juxtaposed against the large luminous brown paper background. Although she often uses intense black colour and shadow, there is no sinister undertone in her paintings. The rawness of the materials produces a freshness of expression and results are outstandingly beautiful faces. Her work is energetic and bold.
