Croatian National Tourist Board presentation in Helsinki Croatian National Tourist Board presented the Croatian tourist offer at the main Finnish tourism fair Matka. The show involved over thousand exhibitors from 72 countries, showing the great importance of the Finnish tourist market. The Finns, despite the economic crisis in 2009, retained the habit of tourist travels and vacations at various destinations. Along with Spain, Greece, Italy and Thailand as well as traditional favorites, Croatia recorded a systematic annual increase, especially after the opening of the direct flights by the Blue1 carrier from Helsinki to Dubrovnik and Split. Ambassador Dr. Damir Kušen visited the Croatian stand and participated in the formal opening of the fair, held lunch with Finnish Minister of Labour Anni Sinnemäki, and talked with the organizers of the fair as well as a series of representatives of the tourism sector.
