Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Ireland, Dublin and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and in cooperation with the Crafts Council of Ireland, on the occasion of the celebration of forty years of the existence of the Crafts Council of Ireland and 2011 Year of Craft, the exhibition 'Contemporary Croatian Jewellery' will be displayed in Dublin The exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday, 8 June 2011 at 6 pm at the Rubicon gallery, 10 Saint Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.

Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Ireland, Dublin and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and in cooperation with the Crafts Council of Ireland, on the occasion of the celebration of forty years of the existence of the Crafts Council of Ireland and 2011 Year of Craft, the exhibition 'Contemporary Croatian Jewellery' will be displayed in Dublin. The exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday, 8 June 2011 at 6 pm at the Rubicon gallery, 10 Saint Stephen's Green, Dublin 2. The exhibition hosts the work of sixteen authors of contemporary Croatian jewellery: Rok Lumezi, Vera Dajht Kralj, Boris Pokos, Zlatko Odrcic, Mario Beusan, Stjepan Balja, Davor šuk, Eva Lumezi šimatovic, Karolina Pernar, Max škledar, Eta Lincir, Boris Borovic, Rea Boschi Gogolja, Mara Fabijancic Borovic, Luka Petrinjak and Nenad Roban. Their work is characterised by the usage of materials such as stone, silver, copper and wood and the intertwinement of urban and rural traditional styles. Jewellery making in Croatia boasts a rich and long tradition, continued nowadays in its contemporary form. The exhibition 'Contemporary Croatian Jewellery' displays excellent contemporary production of Croatian art jewellery the authors of which are recognized not only in Croatia but also worldwide. So far the exhibition has been displayed in Prague, Bejing, Bratislava, Helsinki, Innsbruck, Pécs, Baji, Bekescsabu, Subotica and Novi Sad. The exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday, 8. June 2011 at 6 pm at the Rubicon gallery, 10 Saint Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 and visitors will be able to view it until 25 June 2011. The entrance is free.
