Establishment of the Ireland Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Parliament of Ireland
An Ireland Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group has been established in the Houses of the Oireachtas (National Parliament of Ireland). The Group is consisted of the members of both Houses of the Oireachtas. All parliamentary friendship groups in the Houses of the Oireachtas are chaired by the Ceann Comhairle, Speaker of the Lower House, but he nominates a Convenor who assists him with the operational, day to day matters relating to each group. The current Convenor of Ireland Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group is Deputy John Brassil, TD. The formation of the group is an important sign of good bilateral relations between Ireland and Croatia and it will serve to strengthen further the friendship bonds between the two countries.
