Croatian classical guitar player Ana Vidovic played a concert as part of the Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland on Saturday, 05 July 2008 at the Shaw Room of the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin. During her first visit to Ireland she also held master classes and technique classes at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

During her first visit to Ireland she also held master classes and technique classes at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
At the National Gallery, Ana performed works by F. Sor, M. Torroba, F. Tarrega B. Mangorea, N. Paganini and W. Walton. Her exceptional talent and virtuosity was thus one of the highlights of this years' Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland, the largest event of its kind in Ireland.
Ana Vidovic was born in Karlovac, Croatia in 1980 and began playing guitar at the early age of five. Already at thirteen she was the youngest student ever to enter the National Musical Academy of Zagreb. In her very successful career she has won an impressive number of prizes and international competitions all over the world. These include first prizes in the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, the Fernando Sor competition in Rome, the Francisco Tarrega competition in Benicasim, Spain. Other top prizes include the Eurovision Competition for Young Artists, the Mauro Giuliani competition in Italy, the Printemps de la Guitare in Belgium and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York. During her career Ana has given over one thousand public performances since first taking the stage in 1988. including recitals in London, Paris, Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Budapest, China, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Oslo, Copenhagen, Toronto, Baltimore, San Francisco, Knoxville, Houston, Austin, Dallas, St. Louis, and Jakarta.
