Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr Emer Costello opened the exhibition "Colours of Croatia" at the European Union House today. The exhibition showcases photographs of Croatia, its nature, people and architecture by the renowned Croatian photographer Ivo Pervan.
Born in 1947 in Split, Ivo Pervan's passion for photography started in his teenage years. Pervan's main aim is to preserve the history, cultural and natural heritage of his native Croatia by capturing them through the lens. He has published 30 and co-published 60 photogpraphy monographs and has won several acclaimed international photography prizes, most notably the Red Dot Design Award in 2009.
We hope you will be our guest and admire a glimpse of Pervan's fascinating work at the European Union House.
The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ireland in co-operation with the European Commission Representation in Ireland and the European Parliament Office in Ireland and will be on display at the European Union House (18 Dawson St, Dublin 2) from Friday, 26 March 2010 until Thursday, 15 April 2010 (Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, admission free).
