In cooperation with Volunteering Ireland, the European Commission Representation in Ireland organised a lunchtime event on Europe Day, with a special focus on the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
The event took place on Monday, 9 May 2011, at the European Union House, 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
The North Strand Kontra Band performed at the event and snacks were supplied by the Embassies of EU Member States and Croatia, a candidate country.
The event was open to the public and was free of charge.
