A baroque music concert organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Dublin
Famous Croatian artists Mrs. Laura Vadjon, the first Croatian baroque violinist, director and concertmaster of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble, and Mr. Pavao Mašić, concert organist and harpsichordist, both professors at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, were guests. At the concert, two young artists joined in the performance, musicians of the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Mrs. Jeannette Bogado on the violin and Mrs. Sophie Ní Mhaoláin on the cello. This continued the good cooperation between the two national baroque orchestras that started a few years ago at the Varaždin Baroque Evenings.
In the full Church of St. Mary, numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps in Ireland, members of the Croat community in Ireland as well as guests from Ireland/Dublin were present. The musicians performed pieces by Georg Friedrich Handel, Arcangelo Corelli and Croatian authors Anđelko Klobučar and Franjo Lučić.
