Minister Grlić Radman attends marking of CEI Executive Secretariat’s 30th anniversary

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated on 17 March 2026 in Trieste at a conference marking the 30th anniversary of the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI).
 
The conference brought together foreign ministers and senior officials from CEI member states, as well as representatives of international and regional organisations, with the aim of exchanging views on current challenges and further strengthening regional cooperation in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.
 
As part of the programme, Grlić Radman took part in a panel titled “Championing the CEI spirit: closer in the region, stronger in Europe,” during which he emphasised the importance of strong regional cooperation, the continuation of the European integration process, and the promotion of sustainable development as key factors for stability and progress. The minister particularly highlighted the need for further connectivity among the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe, alongside strengthening cooperation with the Mediterranean region.
