During the Annual Diplomatic Reception in Timor-Leste, Ambassador Nebojša Koharović held meetings with the President of the country José Ramos-Horta, Head of Diplomacy Bendita dos Santos Freitas and Cardinal Virgilio do Carmo da Silva, as well as officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was assessed that bilateral relations were upgraded with the EU-ASEAN dialogue dimension after Timor-Leste's accession to ASEAN last year. The opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia headed by an Honorary Consul was announced this year, making the Republic of Croatia the first of the smaller EU members to open a representative office in Dili.
