The collocutors exchanged opinions about the current events on the political scene of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the plans to constitute government on the state and federation level.

High Representative Inzko reported on the international community’s efforts to consolidate the post-election political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible and prevent government stagnation. He also talked about the plans to organizationally reform the international community’s presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Jandroković reiterated that respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the equality of the three constitutive nations and other citizens, remained the basic principles of Croatia’s relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In that regard, he said that marginalizing any of the three nations could seriously jeopardize the future stable functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and added that Croats, despite being the least populous nation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, could serve as a bonding agent in the field of domestic policy and be the decisive force of pro-European changes. He repeated that Croatia had a strategic interest in the stability and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the entire region of South Eastern Europe.

High Representative Inzko pointed out that Croatia was a stability factor in the region, adding that the accession of Croatia to the EU was not only about its enlargement but historical unification as well.
