Croatia strongly advocates EU enlargement
Plenković emphasized that Croatia firmly supports the enlargement of the European Union to include the countries of Southeast Europe, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Croats are one of the constituent peoples.
The adoption of the Reform Agenda by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers of was also welcomed, as it represents an important step toward accessing European funds under the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
The prime minister stressed that all countries in the region must meet the established criteria and align as closely as possible with the Union’s policies. He added that Croatia stands ready to assist candidate countries in implementing the necessary reforms.
During the meeting, strong and unequivocal support was expressed for Ukraine. Plenković underscored the importance of continuing comprehensive assistance to that country and reiterated Croatia’s support for the further advancement of Ukraine and Moldova in their accession processes.
