The consular days organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Canada in April 2024:
To schedule a consular appointment please contact the Croatian Embassy in Ottawa by e-mail at con.ottawa@mvep.hr.
You can book the appointment between March 1st and 30th, 2024 on a first come first served basis.
Only the clients with scheduled appointments and well-prepared documents will be received by the Consul.
If your documents require Apostille stamp, the Apostille stamp also has to be translated to Croatian language.
You should arrive not earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
ELECTIONS IN CROATIA
On March 15, 2024, the President of the Republic of Croatia issued a Decision to call elections for members of the Croatian Parliament.
The elections will be held at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16 and 17, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa informs all adult Croatian citizens residing in the area of the city of Ottawa and Carlton in the province of Ontario and in the area of the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, New Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Yukon, how they can exercise their right to vote in the elections for the Croatian Parliament at the Embassy of the Republic of Ottawa in Canada on April 16 and 17, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Voters who have been issued a Croatian e-identity card with a residence address outside the Republic of Croatia will be registered ex officio according to the address on the identity card. If they want to vote in the territory of another diplomatic-consular representation or in Croatia, they must submit a request to change their place of registration.
All other voters must first or must actively register to be able to vote at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16 and 17, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
To vote at the Embassy in Ottawa, voters can register at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa no later than Saturday, April 6, 2024. In the same period, voters can cancel or change their registration request.
All voters can check their registration in the voter register on the Ministry of Administration of the Republic of Croatia website (https://biraci.gov.hr/RegistarBiraca/), in state administration offices, in diplomatic missions and consular offices, and through the e-Citizens online system and request changes to possible incorrect data.
The request for prior and active voter registration is submitted in person (by mail or scanned by e-mail) to the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa.

- Edmonton, Friday, April 12th, 2024, at the Nativity of Mary Croatian Catholic Church at the adress 10560 98 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
- Vancouver, Saturday - April 13 and Sunday - April 14, 2024 at the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, 720 Robson Street, 5th floor, Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Victoria is scheduled for Monday, April 15th, 2024 at the Saint Leopold Mandić Croatian Parish at 4081 Gordon Head Road, Victoria, British Columbia, V8N 3X7.
