Croatian Robotics Team at World Competition in Incheon

In early October, young robotics enthusiasts from the Juraj Dobrila Gymnasium and Vocational School in Pazin, along with students from a secondary school in Ivanić-Grad - all led by mentor Lovro Šverko - traveled to Incheon to participate in the “FIRST Global Challenge”, a world robotics competition featuring teams from 185 countries. As part of the event, the students presented a project that integrates satellite data with ground-based sensors to identify areas at an increased risk of forest fires; their work was recognized as one of the top 15 innovative solutions. By placing in the top third of the competing teams, the Croatian group showcased Croatia as a nation of knowledge and advanced technology.
