Beijing, 19 March 2026. At the second meeting of the members of the Chinese cluster of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) for 2026, hosted by the French Institute in Beijing, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the People's Republic of China officially joined the Chinese cluster as a full member. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Federico Roberto Antonelli, President of the Chinese EUNIC cluster and Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, and the Embassy was represented by Ambassador Dario Mihelin, who signed the Cluster Charter, and Minister Plenipotentiary Arna de Mendonca Ferreira.
As a European network of organisations dealing with cultural relations between EU Member States, EUNIC advocates for the prominent role of culture in international relations and is a strategic partner of the EU in this area. Access to EUNIC opens up opportunities for knowledge exchange, participation in joint projects of EUNIC members, as well as for additional support to the Republic of Croatia in implementing national projects in the field of presenting Croatian culture and heritage in the People's Republic of China.
